Webhiway Communications is filling the Sprint Broadband gap.

Webhiway Communications is purchasing Sprint Broadband CPE Equipment and giving discounts to former sprint customers for their internet service.

Sprint is informing their customers it will be turning off its wireless broadband service effective July 31, 2008.

Webhiway Communications  a global wireless equipment solutions provider and network service provider is offering $20 to former Sprint Broadband customers for their old equipment.

The equipment must be in good working condition to qualify for the offer.

"Webhiway will pay for the shipping of the units and you will receive a check for your equipment in a week or so" says John Olson, President of Webhiway Communications. "We are also offering a service discount to those customers within our service areas,  and we will give the customers credit for their old Sprint equipment" Discounts will be $39.95/mo. for broadband Internet service and $50 off their install charge.

"We have had a good relationship with Sprint, Kite Networks and Mobile Pro over the years and hate to see those networks being turned off and customers left without service."

Mr. Olson says they will be launching a wireless Internet campaign in the Tucson and Phoenix areas first, but has also stated that if the resources exist they may be providing Internet service into other markets as well. "It is up to the market to decide where we will build our next network, we have always done it that way, but we don't want to step on any toes here, we are still an a working relationship with them [Sprint]. "

Webhiway also plans to give incentives to other WISPs to offer discounts to former Sprint Broadband customers, but would not elaborate on what those incentives may be. then added "We will be working very hard over the next couple of months to help transition customers into dependable high speed Internet service at a fair price. We will be working with several ISPs and WISPs throughout the country, as well as expanding our own networks."
